Welcome to our North Lincolnshire Music Hub.
The Music Hub was formed in 2012. It is a growing partnership between key music organisations and local, regional and national arts organisations. We work together to offer inspiring, innovative and educational music, arts activities and experiences for the children and young people of North Lincolnshire.
We are committed to providing the highest quality music education and standards of musical excellence. Our aim is to inspire all children and young people (regardless of race, gender, background, educational need or disability) to develop artistic talent and achieve personal goals both within and beyond the classroom.
Music has the power to raise aspirations and has a positive impact on levels of attainment in school. Through the Hub’s valued partnerships we are able to offer music, arts activities and opportunities to inspire, improve and positively enhance the lives of young people.
By working collaboratively, the Hub is able to offer exciting music initiatives such as:
- Rock Academy for 13 to 18 year olds
- Taiko groups
- Tots music groups
- Digital music and literacy for schools and family learning
Music therapy is available for young people with behavioural problems to help achieve physical and mental well-being. These initiatives (alongside the more traditional ensembles well established in North Lincolnshire) exist for all children to:
- Have the opportunity to learn to play a musical instrument
- Have the opportunity to play in ensembles
- Have clear and affordable progression routes and
- Have the opportunity to sing regularly
Together we can achieve more. We can offer support and communication. We can offer wider and more varied music and arts opportunities with a joined up thinking for the Musical organisations of North Lincolnshire.
Together our combined expertise will enable us to achieve our goals and to ensure our children and young people enjoy quality music and arts opportunities now and in the future.
