Grimsby Bach Choir is a friendly chamber choir performing a wide range of music to high standards.
The Choir was formed in November 1968 by its first conductor, Robert Walker. It developed its own identity by performing two concerts of major works each year and a Christmas Wassail.
The Choir is keen to work with future generations of musicians. It frequently works with local young musicians, as well as using up-and-coming musicians as soloists and within orchestras. They are often current students of the country’s top music colleges or conservatoires.
Steven Maxson was appointed as the Choir’s fourth Musical Director in November 2001. Since this date the Choir has performed a wide range of repertoire from across six centuries or more in venues across North East Lincolnshire, North Lincolnshire, Lincolnshire, and beyond.
